Best Eternal Willpower Build Guide in The First Descendant
The Eternal Willpower is currently one of the best assault rifles you can get in The First Descendant, with fantastic base stats that you can make even stronger with the right application of mods and stats. It’s relatively easy to collect once you reach the Agna Desert, and as a rare weapon, you can upgrade it to a cheaper craft material.
All Eternal Willpower features in The First Descendant:
- Weapon Type: Assault Rifle
- Pros: Can build from great base stats, easy to get and upgrade
- Cons: Not an Ultimate so it has no special effect, also suffers from a small magazine size

How to Get Eternal Willpower in The First Descendant
To get the Eternal Willpower in The First Descendant, you can grind two different missions in the Agna Desert zone’s Miragestone area. The Agna Desert is the fifth overworld zone in the game. Therefore, you must play through the main story campaign to unlock access to it. If you are new to the game, and playing with your first character, you will need to fully advance your first Descendant to Level 40 and beat the Dead Bride before you can unlock it.
The best spot to farm the Eternal Willpower in The First Descendant is:
- Agna Desert zone, Miragestone area, Commanding Ground battlefield mission
- Agna Desert zone, Miragestone area, Red Sphere normal mission
Furthermore, the Eternal Willpower is a rare assault rifle that you can only get through random drops. Consequently, you cannot craft it at the Research Institute with Anais.
Best Modules for Eternal Willpower in The First Descendant
Rifling Reinforcement, Weak Point Sight, and Better Insight are the best weapon mods for the Eternal Willpower assault rifle. Rifling Reinforcement is a mod you’ll want on almost every gun and it’s worth maxing out with Kuiper shards as soon as you can. When fully enhanced, it will nearly double your Firearm DPS. Weak Point Sight is essential for battles against Colossi, and Better Insight will give you an increase in critical hit when you’re firing at those same weak points.

Maximum Module Capacity
When upgrading weapon mods, be aware there is an increased cost and a max module capacity of 80. The material needed is Energy Activators, and you will get one of these after playing through the end of the campaign, or you can craft them with Anais. Therefore, you want to balance increasing mods and not attempt to max out every one. A balanced approach to firearm ATK, critical chance, and critical damage is the best (+3 or so to each).
Best Weapon Stats for Eternal Willpower in The First Descendant
In the First Descendant weapon stats are randomly generated for all weapons when they drop or are created via crafting. You can change (or re-roll) them through the Weapon Readjustment system, which is covered in more detail below.

Moreover, a bonus element or firearm attack power stats are good alternatives if you’re churning through a lot of readjustment materials and aren’t getting best-in-slot traits.
In the First Descendant, weapon stats are randomly generated for all weapons when they are picked up as loot or picked up after crafting. You can change (or re-roll) them through the Weapon Readjustment system. Each weapon has four random traits or stats that can be rerolled to find the ideal trait. These regenerated traits are also random and so is their quality. Therefore, expect to spend a lot of materials to min-max the perfect roll.
How to Upgrade Eternal Willpower
The First Descendant provides several different avenues for upgrading and improving your weapons by using their repair station Workbench. The Workbench is located in the same general area as Anais and weapons seller Deslin on the west side of Albion.
Weapon Transmission
When you pick up a dropped weapon in The First Descendant it will have a level that corresponds with the level of the zone it generated in. However, you can easily bring it up to your current weapon level by using the Weapon Transmission mechanic at the Workbench.
Finally, you will need to reach Mastery Rank 3.
To level up Eternal Willpower in The First Descendant you will need:
- Phase Exchanger
- 50 Superalloy
- 2,500 credits/gold
- 2:30 of research time
To get Superalloy in the First Descendant you will need to dismantle many weapons you don’t want by junking them. This breaks down the weapon into crafting materials you can use to make other items. Consequently, we highly recommend breaking down all of your excess weapons instead of selling them. Credits are easier to earn just by playing the game and completing missions.
Weapon Readjustment
In The First Descendant, the Weapon Readjustment mechanic allows you to use the Workbench to re-roll your weapon stats. Moreover, you can re-roll all of your stats at once, or lock individual stats you like and only re-roll the ones you want to change.
Finally, you will need to reach Master Rank 4 in order to unlock Weapon Readjustment at the Workbench.
To change Eternal Willpower stats in The First Descendant you will need:

- 340 Superalloy
- 12,000 credits/gold
- 15:00 of research time
How To Use Eternal Willpower
The best way to use Eternal Willpower in The First Descendant is by pairing it with a high-damage or high-mobility character such as Gley or Bunny. Gley’s frenzied state will boost the damage of this high-powered weapon even further to achieve maximum DPS. Additionally, the Eternal Willpower can work well with Bunny because it allows for higher mobility while shooting and aiming than a lot of other firearms.
Furthermore, the Eternal Willpower can be a great weapon for just about any character because of it’s strong base stats. Accuracy, Weak Point Damage, and Critical are all solid, even for a weapon that is an approximate level 50 on drop. Increase its level with the weapon transmission, and re-roll stats with weapon readjustment and you’ll have a powerhouse for end-game.
However, its main downside is the small size of its magazine clips. With a high rate of fire and only 25 rounds per mag, you will be churning through your ammo stocks very quickly. Eternal Willpower does use general rounds, which are a bit easier to find, but you may still have problems keeping your ammo supply up.
