The First Descendant: How to Farm the Bunny Cave

Discover how to effectively farm the Bunny Cave in the First Descendant to quickly level characters and weapons for late-game progression.

With so many things to do in The First Descendant, finding optimal activities with high yields of necessary resources is incredibly important. For example, Experience (XP) gains are incredibly important for leveling your characters and weapons multiple times to increase their power. The Bunny Cave provides some of the best XP in the game and is incredibly easy to do solo or in a group.

What is the Bunny Cave?

The Bunny Cave is a void fragment located in the Fallen Ark district of the Fortress. This location has incredibly fast experience gains because of the closeness of the spawns and how quickly it can be done.

Since the Bunny Cave is a void fragment, you will gain Void Shards, and is the best place to collect Monomer Void Shards. Also, it rewards gold, XP, various modules, weapons, and reactors upon completion. However, the enemies within the cave do not drop loot themselves, so this is not a good source of fast gold and Kuiper shards.

How to Farm the Bunny Cave

To effectively farm the Bunny Cave, you are going to want to be an electric damage descendant or have one in your group start the fragment. The primary objective is to clear out the spawns as soon as they appear so area of effect damage is the most important factor in how fast your experience rates are. So we highly recommend Bunny for this farm as she is electric and can hit both spawns of the enemies that spawn.

While Bunny makes the most sense for the farm, you can start the fragment with Sharen as well. However, Sharen lacks with mob clearing so you will want to have additional people there to help clear waves as quickly as possible. There are two spawns, one on a platform next to the fragment and one in the cave you entered through. Also, there is a box, the Bunny Box, on the ground across from the fragment. Any Bunny should be near as her damage can hit both spawns and the fragment from this location.

Optimal Setup

The Optimal Setup for the Bunny Cave is one or more Bunnies with maximum range and damage. Bunny with range modules can hit both of the spawns and the void fragment from the same location. This allows us to deal damage to all spawns and the crystal without the need to relocate every new spawn.

Bunny Cave Farm recommended features and modules:

Focus On Electric – Increased electric damage
Maximize Range – Gives massively increased range
Skill Extension – Large duration increase
Skill Expansion – Large range increase
Frugal Mindset – Decreased skill cost and increased range
Sub Module – Max Rank, specific doesn’t matter but at max rank gives +10 additional module capacity

These modules combine to give our bunny the maximum range, constant uptime on our skills, and some reduced skill costs. To effectively farm, you will want at least one bunny with this setup. Any additional Bunnies with these mods will allow faster spawn kills and more XP per hour.
