Putting a New Game Plus Mode in any game is almost always a good idea. It increases the replay value of the game and lets players complete the same missions but with higher-level equipment or skills, which leads to a fresher experience. Naturally, a New Game Plus Mode for Assassin’s Creed Shadows is also anticipated by the community. At the present moment, New Game Plus has not been confirmed for this title; however, that could change in post-launch updates.
Assassin’s Creed Shadows Will Not Have New Game Plus on Launch
Although Assassin’s Creed Shadows does not have a New Game Plus Mode on launch, fans should not lose hope. Ubisoft is not against adding a New Game Plus feature to their games. They removed it from Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, but it’s present in Assassin’s Creed Mirage. So, let’s be patient and hope for this feature to be added in a patch later down the line.
Will New Game Plus Be a Part of Future Updates for Assassin’s Creed Shadows?
Ubisoft has stated its intentions to listen to the community and make changes accordingly. This could indicate that if the community voices their support enough, then a New Game Plus Mode could become a reality.
Additionally, the New Game Plus feature could already be planned for implementation. In this case, the New Game Plus feature will likely arrive as part of a post-launch update.
A New Game Plus feature will only increase the replay value of the game, especially based on how the level system in Assassin’s Creed Shadows works. Having a New Game Plus will let players experiment with high-level skills at the start of the game. Additionally, this could increase the ways in which previous story missions could be tackled with newer methods.
