destiny 2 stasis warlock solo build

This Build has Been Updated for Season 23, Season of the Wish.

Why Should You Play Stasis Warlock?

This Stasis Warlock build is the best Stasis PvE build currently in the game. It has absolutely insane map control for champions and minor combatants alike. The Stasis Warlock is survivable and has some crazy ability uptime as well. Like all the Stasis classes it does require you to own Beyond Light and unlock the subclass by finishing the campaign.  Find out all the details on how to craft, create, and optimize our Stasis Warlock PvE Build.

Destiny 2 Stasis Warlock PvE Build

  • Subclass: Shadebinder
  • Primary Stat: Discipline
  • Super: Winter’s Wrath
  • Class Ability: Healing Rift
  • Jump: Burst Glide
  • Grenade: Coldsnap Grenade
  • Melee: Penumbral Blast

Abilities

The best abilities for the Osmiomancy Gloves Stasis Warlock PvE Build are Healing Rift, Coldsnap Grenade, and Penumbral Blast. The Winter’s Wrath Super is the best and only super this build has. Just because it is the only super though doesn’t make it a bad one. Winter’s Wrath can be a godsend in situations where add density becomes too much and you need to clear out a room quickly. Your Coldsnap Grenade can be turned into a Bleakwatcher turret, which is one of the more useful aspects of this build. Your Healing Rift can serve as a survival tool in rough situations. Penumbral Blast can help this build’s uptime but is more icing on the cake rather than anything substantial.

Winter’s Wrath

Healing Rift

Burst Glide

Coldsnap Grenade

Penumbral Blast

Winter's Wrath – Summon a Stasis staff. While your Super is active: [Super Primary] : Cast out a barrage of Stasis shards that freeze targets. [Super Secondary] : Cast out a shockwave that shatters all frozen targets.

Healing Rift – Conjure a well of power that continuously heals those inside it.

Burst Glide – Jump while airborne to activate Glide and start an airborne drift with a strong initial boost of speed.

Coldsnap Grenade – A grenade that freezes on impact and sends another seeker to find and freeze targets.

Penumbral Blast – Raise your Stasis staff against your foe. Send a blast of Stasis forward to freeze your targets.

Turning your Coldsnap Grenade into a Bleak Watcher Stasis Turret is the main part of this build. After that, it is all about breaking Stasis Crystals and killing Frozen combatants. This will in turn deal damage to enemies and send out seekers to freeze more targets. The loop is very powerful and can incapacitate large groups of enemies.

Aspects

The best aspects to use with our Osmiomancy Gloves Stasis Warlock build are Bleak Watcher and Iceflare Bolts. Bleak Watcher is the bread and butter of this build, and Iceflare Bolts is a powerful option for freezing more targets.

Bleak Watcher

Iceflare Bolts

Bleak Watcher – Press and hold the grenade button to convert your grenade into a Stasis turret that fires slowing projectiles at nearby targets.

Iceflare Bolts – Shattering a frozen target spawns seekers that track and freeze other nearby targets.

Bleak Watcher is a powerful aspect that allows us to create Stasis turrets. These turrets slow and freeze enemies in their tracks allowing us to deal massive amounts of damage to them while incapacitated. The Iceflare Bolts aspect adds to this as when a frozen target is defeated it freezes another one, which creates a nice little feedback loop.

Fragments

The best fragments for our Stasis Warlock PvE build are the Whispers of Refraction, Torment, Shards, and Fissures. These all create an excellent offensive build with each either directly increasing our damage output or ability uptime.

Whisper of Refraction

Whisper of Torment

Whisper of Shards

Whisper of Fissures

Whisper of Refraction : Defeating slowed or frozen targets grants you class ability energy.

Whisper of Torment : You gain grenade energy each time you take damage from targets.

Whisper of Shards : Shattering a Stasis crystal temporarily boosts your grenade recharge rate. Shattering additional Stasis crystals increases the duration of this benefit.

Whisper of Fissures : Increases the damage and size of the burst of Stasis when you destroy a Stasis crystal or defeat a frozen target.

Whisper of Refraction grants more class ability energy when we kill Slowed or Frozen targets. Almost all of the enemies we kill will be one of these things, so this allows for nearly constant uptime of our Healing Rift. This build shines when you have Stasis Turrets everywhere, and we need grenade energy for that. Whisper of Torment guarantees we will always have a turret available. Building off of that, Whisper of Shards further increases grenade energy uptime. Whisper of Fissures increases the damage output of our Stasis Crystal explosions, which there will be a lot of.

Weapons

The best weapons for our Stasis Warlock PvE build are Quicksilver Storm, The Eremite, and Commemoration. Quicksilver Storm is just fantastic in all content, especially once you unlock the catalyst. The Eremite is just a good all-around special weapon, but you could easily swap this out with another special you prefer. Commemoration is another good all-around option that works in most content but will need to be switched out in boss DPS situations.

Here’s a list of the best weapon loadout for our Stais Warlock PvE build:

  • Kinetic: Quicksilver Storm, Exotic Strand Auto Rifle
  • Energy: The Eremite, High-Impact Frame Solar Fusion Rifle
  • Heavy: Commemoration, Adaptive Frame Void Machine Gun

Alternatively, you can opt to build more into Stasis crystals. It’s less flexible and puts you all in on the Stasis Crystal gimmick, but is powerful in its own right To do this replace your kinetic weapon with the exotic Verglas Curve and your heavy weapon with a Stasis option, like Cold Comfort. The Eremite is still a great Special Weapon with this option, but you can opt for anything in that slot.

Exotic Armor

Destiny 2 Osmiomancy Gloves Exotic

For this build to thrive, the Osmiomancy Gloves are pretty much required. It gives us another Coldsnap Grenade charge, which allows us to make a second Bleak Watch turret. This is obviously very powerful on its own, but it does even more than that. It also improves the seekers created by Coldsnap Grenades and the Iceflare Bolts aspect. This build would work without this Exotic, but with it, the Stasis Warlock becomes one of the better builds you can play.

Armor Stats

The best stats to focus on for our Stasis Warlock PvE build are Discipline, Recovery, and Resilience. These provide us with both the offense and defense needed to survive end-game content.

  • Mobility: 10
  • Resilience: 80
  • Recovery: 100
  • Discipline: 100
  • Intellect: 50
  • Strength: 50

Armor Mods

The best armor mods for the Osmiomancy Gloves Stasis Warlock build are Grenade Kickstart, Strand Siphon, and Strand Surge. They help us get our Stasis turrets up quickly and increase the damage and orb generation of our primary weapon.

Head
Arm
Chest
Leg
Class

Your chest mods will change depending on the damage types you are facing based on the content you are doing. Remember that using the same mod more than once has diminishing returns. Utilize any stat-boosting mods as you see fit to max out any of your priority stats.

Gameplay Tips

This build is all about creating Bleak Watcher Turrets and freezing your targets. The turrets will slow and freeze targets while you are, and as a bonus, any target you kill that is frozen will most likely freeze another target. Kill that target and it will probably freeze another. Repeat. Make sure that when you go to throw your grenade you hold down the button to proc it transforming into a Bleak Watcher turret.

We want to be dealing as much damage with our primary weapon as we can to everything. With the weapons surges it is going to break crystals and frozen enemies left and right. If you opted for a Stasis Weapon to make Crystals rather than Quicksilver Storm, just make sure you switch your Surge and Siphon mods to match.
