How to Unlock Sorcerer Vocation in Dragon’s Dogma 2
Unlock Sorcerer Vocation in Vernworth Vocation Guild, grab the Vocation Frustration quest, head to the Trevo Mine, find the weapon, and return with archistaff to complete the quest. After you complete the quest you can change your vocation for 150 Dcp (Dyscypline points) to Sorcerer.
Sorcerers are one of six vocations you must unlock before playing it. However, this vocation is the best if you need a powerful spellcaster who deals tons of damage. You can also respec your pawn, who can use this class.
Moreover, completing the Vocation Frustration quest described in this guide will unlock the Warrior vocation. Lastly, to maximize your efficiency, you can take the Monster Culling quest from Captain Brant and complete it along the way in the same cave where the weapons are. Read for details below.
Head to the Vernworth Vocation Guild and Speak with Klaus
You won’t be able to unlock Sorcerer’s vocation until you reach Vernworth. This big city is located directly south of where you start the game. You can take an Ox cart from any settlement to this big city.
Locate the Vernworth Vocation Guild next to the Shakir’s Inn in the main square and speak with Klaus behind the counter. He will give you the Vocation Frustration quest.
As mentioned, pick up the Monster Culling quest from Captain Brant; you will complete it easily.
Locate Trevo Mine
Next, you must find the archistaff and greatsword in Trevo Mine. Bringing each will unlock one of the advanced vocations. You can find Trevo Mine on your own; it’s located northwest of Vernworth City. However, you can make your life easier by speaking with Roderick in Roderick’s Smithy, located in the town square. The owner will mark a Trevo Mine location on your main.
Now head to the Trevo Mine. Outside, you will find goblins. Defeat them.
Find the archistaff
Inside the cave, at the fork of the path, climb the large rock steps and turn right. In the next chamber, don’t take any of the splitting paths, but look for the pile of junk two times, and you will find the greatsword.
If you pass through the wooden door, you will find guards fighting with goblins, help them, and after they are dead, you will also compete in the Monster Culling quest. Take the straight path from where you came to go deeper into the cave. You will need to pass bridges and climb the rocks.
Eventually, toward the east, you will find a small tunnel and the path that leads to the small chamber with a chest. Open the chest hidden between the rocky walls of the cave to find the Grievous Horns archistaff.
Return with archistaff to Klaus in Vernworth Vocation Guild
Now, all that is left is to return to Klous in the Vernworth Vocation Guild to complete the quest and unlock Sorcerer and Warrior vocations.
