Hogwarts Legacy is an immersive, open-world action RPG set in the world introduced in the Harry Potter books. It’s quite easily one of the 2023 most highly-anticipated games. The story takes place at the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry in the 1800s. Players can create their own Wizard or Witch and explore the magical open world, attend classes, fly on magical creatures, fight casting spells, make potions and much more.
The show in the Avalanche Software studio was hosted by Community Manager Chandler Wood, Ben Snow, and developers Game detector Alan Tewshowed and Systems Designer Mekenzy Toner. The new Hogwarts Legacy Gameplay features new information about the Room of Requirements. A new look at advanced aspects of combat and the Dark Arts Battle Arena. It’s hidden in the Highlights arena where the player can duel and fight for special rewards and cosmetics! Once more, the gameplay of the Hogwarts Legacy surprised me with the complex game systems, deep customisation and fast combat, read on to know more.
Hogwarts Legacy Platforms and Release Dates
Developers officially set the PC release date on February 10th 2023 for PC, but for consoles, they only provided us with the list of platforms, that the game will be available to play. Finally, we have all console release dates, including Switch!
The game launches on – the full list:
- February 10, 2023, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC
- April 4, 2023, for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One
- July 25, 2023, for Nintendo Switch
As you can see sadly some of the console users will have to wait longer until they will be able to join the epic adventure in the magical world of Hogwarts Legacy.

As we get closer to the release date, the developers continue to reveal more about what we can expect to see in the game. The Hogwarts Legacy will be a single-player game, not an MMO, and will not have any online or co-op gameplay.
