The entire Takahashi clan must be eradicated (or driven away) as part of the Twisted Tree quest in Assassin’s Creed Shadows. As evident from his name, Goro is part of this family. However, you can choose to kill or spare him, which is not a choice you are given regarding most of the family members.

How To Find Takahashi Goro in Assassin’s Creed Shadows

You can find Goro very close to the Shokokuji Pagoda teleport point, as shown in the image above. Additionally, his clues will also indicate that he is located in the northern Kyoto area of the Yamashiro region.

Moreover, from the clue, ‘He will be free if his father dies,’ you are supposed to deduce that you can spare this target. You will find him standing a bit to the west of the waypoint.

How To Defeat Takahashi Goro

Goro does not really know how to fight and will not be able to put up any defense against your assassination attempts. Naoe will even remark that his hands were shaking as he held his sword.

However, you should consider sparing him as well. Sparing this target will get you the full rewards you would have received from killing him, without doing the actual task. Simply get close, aim down on him, and select spare.

In the end, the choice is yours, of course. Completing the task will get you:

• Teppo – Raijin’s Refusal
• Engraving – Damage After Headshot
• 2,000 XP
• 2 Mastery Points
