Recently, many games have changed their approach to manual saves, and Redfall is no different. You won’t find this option in the newest Bethesda game.
Players in Redfall can’t manually save the game, we won’t be discussing the reason why developers took this approach, though the debate could be an interesting one. Instead, this short guide will explain how to recognise when the game is automatically saving and when this occurs.
How to Save the Game in Redfall?
As I mentioned before, you can’t manually save the game in Redfall, however, each time you complete the mission, the game will automatically save. This also happens in specific time intervals or locations, and you can recognise it by the red fangs and teeth icon in the top left corner of the game’s screen.
If you want to make sure you’ll return to the point in the game where you left off, always complete the current mission before you exit. Also, pay attention to the little icon shown in the picture above so you’ll have an overall idea of when was your last save and if something eventful happened between. Occasionally it’s OK to leave without saving a few minutes of wandering around, but if you found something valuable, you’ll probably want to play until your next autosave.
