To be able to catch magical beasts, you need to progress in the main story to the point where you’ll receive the Room of Requirement. You’ll need to complete a series of main quests (list & walkthrough here) to access capturing beasts during The Elf, The Nab-Sack, and the Loom quest. Another very important quest is The Beasts Class, where you’ll learn how to care, groom and feed properly for your magical beasts.
How to capture the magical beats?
During The Elf, The Nab-Sack, and the Loom quest, you’ll receive a special bad called The Nab-Sack, where you can safely store and carry rescued beasts. You can find more new animals easily on the world map marked with the paw icon. Now that you know how to capture the beasts, go to the Brood & Peck shop in Hogsmeade, where you can sell captured beasts for 120 gold a piece.
However, capturing beats takes time, so o make the gold-making process even easier, complete “Deek’s Plight of the House Elf” and “Foal of the Dead” quests quest to unlock the breeding pen. Those quests become available after you complete The High Keep – the main quest. That takes us to The best gold-making method in Hogwarts Legacy!
The best method to earn gold in Hogwarts Legacy
Capturing magical beasts is a fun mini-game and feature. However, the true best method to earn gold is by selling the beasts’ offsprings, breaded on your mini Farm. To start, you need a male and female of the same species and a breeding pen. The breeding spellcraft pen can be bought from The Tomes and Scrolls in Hogsmeade after you complete the Deek’s “Foal of the Dead” quest. Each of those quests unlocks a new biome and vivarium, so you’ll have more space for your gold-making farm.
From now, each time you visit your Room of Requirement, set your magical beasts couples to have a new baby and collect those who were borne while you were gone. Take them to the Brood & Peck shop in Hogsmeade and sell them for gold.
