Trials of Merlin Quest

- Help the stranger
- In the South Hogwarts region, follow the quest marker to the group of NPCs
- Defeat the thieves
- Fight the two interlopers along side Nora Treadwell
- As soon as those two go down, a more powerful Ashwinder Duelist arrives. Another couple of Ashwinder scouts will soon come to their aid
- Speak with the stranger
- Nora Treadwell introduces herself as a historian and archeologist specializing in Merlin’s life
- Merlin attended Hogwarts and left behind dozens of vine covered pillars scattered around. These are called The Trials of Merlin
- Nora says she believes mallowsweet is an important component in getting the Trials to work
- Get some mallowsweet from Nora’s trunk
- Toss some mallowsweet in the center of the stones in a swirl pattern to see what happens

Solve Merlin’s Trial
- Nora now says that the vines on the pillars have disappeared
- At the top of each pillar is a pyre
- Cast Incendio at the pyres, and the flames will make the pillar sink
- You’ll need to cast Incendio at each of the pillars before the first one sinks into the ground, or the puzzle will reset itself.
- Speak to Nora Treadwell
- She says you can find more of these Trials around the grounds of Hogwarts, and she encourages you to continue to solve them if you can.
