To get the Arcanist’s Ring in Avowed you must make your way to the island of Castol’s Folly in the southeastern portion of the Dawnshore map. This island has some challenging enemies. Therefore, if you are playing on higher difficulties it is recommended that you have armor and weapons upgraded as much as possible.
The location of the Arcanist’s Ring is near the southern portion of the island. You will enter the island after jumping across some platforms and pillars to the north, but you cannot go directly south in a straight line. Circle around to the east and you should eventually find your way to an area with Captain Trevik and his men.
There are part of the Precious Light quest you can pick up from Sapiento de Falva in Paradis. However, you don’t have to have the quest first before reaching them. Depending on where you are in the quest and what decision you make, you may have to fight them. The conversation will trigger automatically once you enter the space, so you cannot search for the ring first.
Afterward, then you will be free to move around. Search for a small, golden glowing lockbox on the ground to the south. Inside you will find the Arcanist’s Ring in Avowed.
