Starfield isn't just a Skyrim in Space says Matt Booty in the latest interview on GameSpot. Starfield was originally scheduled to release in November 2022. The game was delayed and now is scheduled to launch in the first half of 2023. However, we slowly get more and more information and leaks about the upcoming Bethesda new exploration RPG game. This time we have an interview on GameSpot, where Here's Matt Booty, head of Xbox Game Studios, answered questions about Halo, Game Pass, and Microsoft's game studio. But most importantly, he gave us a new slice of information about Starfield. Starfield Q&A with Todd Howard
Just a couple of days ago Bethesda dropped video of a Starfield Q&A with Todd Howard! The video is short but gives us some more tidbits of insight into the game, as well as a few quick glimpses of the dialogue system and how that will work in Starfield. For more information, check out the video and read on for more analysis below! One of the early questions which Howard addresses is how much of a 'hard sci-fi' game Starfield will be? He states that while the developers wanted to lean strongly into the idea of 'hard sci-fi' in the end there were areas where they had to take some liberties in order to not limit player capability too strongly. He uses the example of space travel - researching about how fuel and the gravity drive would really work. In a more realistic setting, the ship would run out of a fuel, leaving the player stuck in space. Not a fun game mechanic. Recently, Bethesda gave us a 15-minute gameplay reveal of Starfield, the next mega game from the studio and their first new IP in 25 years. Set to release sometime in 2023, Starfield will be a Microsoft Xbox and PC Exclusive. The game is set in the year 2330, and will be akin to other RPGs from the studio like Skryim and Fallout with a emphasis on exploration. In this game, you’ll be exploring the stars and solar systems, settling new planets and living as a space faring explorer.
